On the 🚢Ekl'alian, 🧌Gronk comforts 🐰Faefina, 😎Bori walks in to see this scene, and starts crying and joining in a group hug. They get some rest.
The next morning, the bell rings for breakfast. Gronk heads to the mess, finds a seat, and settles into ground beef, raspberry sauce, and buttered baguettes. Digging in, Huluna joins him. She asks about Yolo, Gronk claims he's too clever for that now.
She pushes him on his friends Bori, Faefina, and 🧔♂️Harald, Gronk affirms his loyalty to his 'longest live friends'.
Bori, on his way to join Gronk, runs in Greg. Bori mentions his meditation recently, Greg points out that Bori is looking less fit. He offers to train with Bori, there is a small gym on the ship.
Faefina, still wallowing in frustration at being stopped from exacting vengeance, but remembers something Harald had mentioned about another passenger, Geff, with a philosophy of justice. She decides to seek him out. While roaming the corridors, she runs into Mrs Bobbit and 🍀Lola. Faefina tells her about Descradedill'diuot, and Mrs Bobbit tells her that no one is too powerful to be taken down. 🍀Lola tells her that she's been taught by Mrs Bobbit to aid What Crawls Below.
Faefina expresses concern at this, Mrs Bobbit defends herself and her aid for her brothers and sisters. As they head on, Faefina hears another passenger mention in passing that they thought they saw a wolf last night. Continuing to explore, she notices a door that she hadn't seen before. Knocking, she is invited in, and meets [Geff]. He invites her in for tea, and she tells him about the purple cloaked man, Descradedill'diuot, and her desire to take him down. Geff asks if she trusts the Arcanum, and for her to seek out the Arch Mages Justice. Unsure about this, Faefina enquires further. He advises she send a letter, but cautions that justice may not always look like she'd prefer. He also advises that she speak to Kineeta.
Faefina finds Kineeta researching the somatic components for a new spell. Faefina tells her about writing to the Arch Mages Justice, and Kineeta warns that it may not end the way she'd like. Kineeta drafts a letter for her, and promises to send it - she puts it in a box and waves her hand over it.
Gronk, eating breakfast, sees Lite wheeling his way towards them. Lite says he has a new lease on life - he'll miss his mother but is eager to explore the New World. Lite offers to teach Gronk more words. He mentions the Greatest Wall, built by Metallog. He tells of how someone broke that wall, allowing passage to the New World.
😎Bori notices Huluna reading a book on the top deck and looking severe. He decides to follow up on his promise to find food for Faefina instead, and unsure of what to bring her, opts for the leafy garnishing surrounding the plates at the buffet. Belowdecks, he digs it out of his pockets for her. She tells him about her conversation with Kineeta, and the letter.
There's a knock at the door. Captain Hain asks how they're doing, and enquires about the letter. He cautions them that the Arcanum is a strange bunch and is factionalised. He cautions her that the justice she seeks may not be the justice she gets. He mentions on his way out that Mrs Bobbit performs a ritual in her room every night. He's unsure what it is or it's for, just that it involves candles, a map of the world, and seems to channel leylines. He asks, too, if they know why Kineeta and Neka do not get along.
He explains that Kineeta had hired his crew to go find a child of a minor prophecy. Kineeta wanted the child delivered safely to his parents, and were eager to rescue the child. He says that they then got new information - that this child, allowed to grow, would have endangered the world. Neka wanted to return the child to their family, Kineeta was willing to give the child to the kidnappers, a group of scholars in an eclectic cult. Minor prophesies do not always come true, and so the child may have been unaffected. Kineeta and Neka fought, the child was returned to the kidnappers, and the child's parents died later in despair. The child eventually grew up to be just another sage.
He then asks if they've seen any wolves, and says that some passengers are sure they've seen a wolf aboard the ship.
Later that night, Faefina uses her ring to speak to a rat and have it go spy on Mrs Bobbit. The rat says that she seems to be asking for knowledge, or is asking for knowledge to be put somewhere. The rat says that she seems creepy, and after the ritual she started making potions.
Gronk resolves to try and get her out of the room, and tries to seduce her to do so. It doesn't work, but she does bring him above deck to learn more about the ocean. Faefina uses the opportunity to use her special glasses to see Mrs Bobbit's ritual in the past, and sees her calling on some kind of energy to fast-track Lola's learning. Investigating the room, Faefina sees that Mrs Bobbit seems to be sleeping on the floor, and doesn't have much in the way of clothing. She does find animal horns for grinding, plants for potions, and a number of potions for vigour and health, as well as rations.
That night, Gronk dreams of his fears of abandonment. Faefina and Bori dream of anger.
The next morning, Faefina and Bori wake up feeling that they has resisted and won through some kind of challenge. Gronk sees Harald holding his head, catatonic and apparently horrified by his dream. Gronk thinks he can hear noise abovedeck. Leaving Harald muttering about past deaths. Gronk steps out of his room to see two passengers locked in a fight outside. Grabbing their heads and forcing them apart, he asks what's gotten into them.
Bori and Faefina leave their cabin to find fighting passengers as well. Faefina casts Calm but as it only affects one person in a melee, it has little effect. Gronk, Faefina, and Bori make their way abovedeck and find the captain fighting Mrs Bobbit.
Faefina casts Command on Mrs Bobbit, Gronk casts Suggestion on the captain. The captain is unaffected, but Mrs Bobbit stops, moving out of the way of blows. Faefina deduces that the ship, being magical, can heal itself from damage. Bori remembers sages speaking of priests of Uo having option to invoke a devolvement in people to their base emotions.
Gronk goes to find Yolo, and finds he has escaped his cell. He sees a small drop of blood leading out of the door. Painstakingly following the trail, Gronk eventually finds himself on the top deck, where Leelan is stabbing a dragon, crew and passengers fighting, and in the center of it, sitting calmly, is Huluna. In a pentagram behind her sites Yola, bleeding slightly and with the blood pooling outside the pentagram.
Faefina finds Neka outside Kineeta's room, slashing at the door and demanding she atone. Bori holds back Neka, and Faefina asks Kineeta to let her in. Kineeta tells Faefina to leave, and rambles about making Neka pay. On hearing that Neka is being held, Kineeta opens the door and casts a fireball at her while she's held in Bori's arms. Neka escapes the grapple, and slices at Kineeta, knocking her down. Kineeta uses Magic Missile on Neka, Faefina uses Healing Word on Kineeta, shoving her backwards into the room and closing the door, knocking off the handle so it cannot be opened. Faefina commands Neka to stop, and she does but continue staring at the door.
Faefina, now with Gronk, tries and fails to dispel the pentagram. The pooling blood assembles into a goliath. Huluna blows, and Bori's sigil wafts from her onto the new goliath form, which attacks.
Bori lunges at his doppelganger, beting it off once and knocking it prone w. 12 damage.
Gronk casts fireball, hitting NeoBori, Huluna, and intentionally damaging the deck in an effort to break the pentagram, dealing 28Dmg, though Huluna, as a Fire Genasi, is less hurt.
Faefina uses Bestow Curse on Huluna, successfully cursing her. She then calls Spirit Shroud to do additional necrotic damage on attack.
A great axe has formed in NeoBori's arm, but he opts instead to punch Bori thrice, dealing 15 damage. He tries to push off Bori, to no avail.
Huluna casts Bane, affecting Bori and Gronk. She tries to hit Faefina, but misses.
Bori hits NeoBori thrice, dealing 30 damage, followed by a Stunning Strike.
Gronk casts Shatter, hitting Huluna, the pentacle, and Yola, dealing 14 damage.
Faefina hits Huluna with her mace for 8 damage.
A column of fire descends on Faefina, dealing 13 fire and 13 radiant damage.
NeoBori misses Bori.
Bori screams in rage at seeing Faefina being hit, rushes at her, and hits Huluna twice for 19 damage knocking her prone. Huluna laughs some more as NeoBori seems to be getting stronger.
Gronk casts Fireball at the same location again, breaking the pentagram and dealing 32 dmg. Yolo, as he passes out, takes a bite out of his wrist as he collapses.
Faefina casts Inflict Wounds but misses, even when using her Rings of Harmony with Gronk. Taken aback, she casts Healing Word on herself, healing for 12.
Huluna gets up and attacks Bori with her mace, hitting him once.
NeoBori hits Bori three times, dealing 30 damage, though Bori uses Stones Endurance to reduce the damage and avoid a knockout.
Huluna asks them to stop, but Bori refuses, grappling her and dealing 15 dmg.
Gronk passes two health potions to Faefina, and drinks a potion of Heroism.
Faefina casts Inflict Wounds, hitting Huluna and causing 28Dmg. She follows up with Healing Word for Bori, healing up 14 points.
Huluna keeps beseeching Bori to accept her offer, while fighting dies out behind the party.
Geth starts walking up to them, and Huluna dismisses the NeoBori spell. Huluna promises Bori she'll see him soon, and then dives into the sea. A giant Kraken appears, and swims off with a glowing woman on it's back.
Geth asks if everyone is ok, and heals them up. Looking at the body parts of NeoBori, he warns he may come back. The party decides to drop off NeoBori piece by piece, in kilometer intervals.
Geth mentions that there is a new passenger on the ship, and geestures to a wolf on deck a little further off.
The wolf transforms into a naked woman, Qwerty who declares herself the archdruid of the hunt, and demands to see the captain.
Party gets 5000XP ea.
